Driver Apprentice Program

Join PV Transport’s driving team through their Apprentice Program. 
Get paid to earn your CDL and launch a driving career with PV Transport.
We provide paid training to current CFG team members while they obtain their CDL Class A license. After licensing, participants move into a PV Transport Regional Driver role with strong first-year earning potential.

Earning Potential

Make up to $75,000–$80,000 in your first year
Pay is activity-based, meaning everything you do contributes to your earnings:
  • Mileage Rate: $0.635 per mile
  • Stops: $17.35 per stop
  • Backhauls: $104.10
  • Layover: $46.27 (12+ hours waiting to deliver)
  • Delay Time: $23.13 per hour
  • Vehicle Breakdown: $23.13 per hour
  • Truck Wash: $20.24 (once per week)
  • Out of Route: $21.80

Schedule & Job Expectations

Training: Monday–Friday (first ~5 weeks)
Post-training: Sunday through Thursday/Friday (based on routes)
Regional drivers are typically away from home 4 nights per week

Qualifications

Must be a current CFG employee
Ability to understand, speak, and read English
Good attendance record
Strong referral from current supervisor
Pass interview with PVT Safety Team
Obtain CDL Class A permit prior to training
Must be a legal U.S. resident (no non-domicile applicants)
